It was during his two-year stay in the region of Mons – from 1878 to 1880 - that Vincent van Gogh, after a failed attempt at becoming an evangelist, decided to become the artist we all know and admire. The short time he spent there was the starting point of his artistic career. The house in the swamps and the surrounding landscapes shrouded in an aura tainted with rural and mining references left traces that pervaded his works all along his life. This guided coach tour will allow you to discover the area around Mons and the the different sites where the artist set foot, with the comments of an onboard guide from the tourist office.
