An event that is not open to the public, and for good reason: it takes place inside Mons Prison, just as the Mons 2015 Opening Ceremony is in full swing in the city. The Mons 2015 Literature Team illuminates the redbrick building, referred to as “my castle now” by Verlaine, who spent time there after shooting Rimbaud, then makes its way within the high walls for a private reading and concert. Supported by the Mons 2015 Gastronomy Team, it also provides a meal specially devised by a distinguished chef. It is a way of shining light on realities beyond words and involving everyone in the great project. Without discrimination.
