Amateur brewer for over 20 years, Jean-Marc Carpenier launched into the creation of his own brand in 2014. It is in the small village of Hautrage, within the entity of Saint-Ghislain, that the beers of the Brasserie de l'Abbaye de Saint-Ghislain are brewed. Five beers, all re-fermented in bottles and non-filtered, each with their own character, are distributed to the Horeca shops and establishments of Saint-Ghislain and the surrounding area:
-the Blonde, brewed with malt from barley and hops, which gives it a balanced flavour that alternates between sweet and bitter.
-the Amber, marked by a more sustained bitterness, developing aromas of malt and caramel.
-the Brown, evoking typical notes of roasted malt and subtle hints of spices.
-the Spring, perpetuating the tradition of those refreshing and light beers that were consumed while working the fields.
-the Double Saison Triple, light amber, of which the dry-hopping at the end of fermentation is apparent but without excess, so that the light notes of biscuit can still be fully appreciated.
The result of a patient mix of flavours and authenticity, come and discover these local beers...
