During the week dedicated to Orlando di Lasso, the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia and the Ishango Choir, conducted by Frank Braley, will perform a ‘Meta-Requiem’, consisting of two requiems by Mozart and Fétis and Gossec’s Messe des Morts. This work will reveal a common source of inspiration: Gossec’s work appears to have inspired Mozart in the composition of his Requiem. This concert will also be an opportunity to pay tribute to the Mons composer François-Joseph Fétis.
