In a small three-room house in the East End of London, a family is suffering badly in the 1980s. Slumped in their sofa, the husband and two sons (Phil Daniels, Tim Roth) are unemployed and depressingly kill time all day. This social comedy (1983) done as only the British can, denounces Thatcher’s ultraliberalism.
